Just thought I'd update you with what I've been doing in school lately. Today I have a midterm in my graphic design class. I also have my process book due, which is a book showing my process of coming up with the homework assignments, including rough drafts and little writeups about the various assignments. I had to choose a theme, so I chose a little girl imagining things, because I am using the class to explore my imagination. Here is one of the drawings I made in Adobe Illustrator. This process book is our rough draft, and the final one is due at the end of the semester. I included a picture of one of the pages so you can see what I mean. Process books are very common assignments in graphic design, and in other art forms too.
For film class, as I mentioned last time we finished up our big assignment, which was the group project for the Nike commercial. Today we got assigned our next project, which is a personal project in which we have to incorporate various camera angles, such as a close up or a wide shot. We also have to use 4 sound effects, which is the biggest challenge: crickets, a car crash, a scream, and rain.
