Student Senate

On Friday I was a very busy intern! I began the morning by taking pictures of the Student Senate.  This is one of the pictures I liked, but a lot of them came out well. It was interesting watching them go through a formal meeting process but also allow for everyone to have their say. They approved new clubs, gave grants to clubs with special events, and admitted a new member, Aaron (blue collared shirt on right) who actually went with me to Israel.The Student Senate provides an opportunity for students to voice their opinions, learn about effective leadership and working with a team, and helps them contribute to Santa Barbara City College. It is a great opportunity not just to give, but to receive experience and skills.
